Nikos is a freelance biologist and a renowned ornithologist. He has worked on several Special Protected Areas of Greece at different bird monitoring and conservation projects. He works on Management Plans for Protected areas, Environmental Impact Assessments and Specific Ecological Assessments. His previous research has focused on benthic macro-invertebrates’ abundance in the feeding areas of shorebirds, habitat selection of waterbirds, and Odonata diversity. He completed his MSc thesis at BCL, studying the breeding ecology of Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus). BCL project: AOOS, INTEGRADIV.
