The Greek roadless policy is covered by SCIENCE on 4/3/2022. It has also started to receive support from international networks and organizations. The Society for  Conservation Biology, SCB Europe Section has released a supportive Press Release under the title”Greece gives legal protection to roadless areas”. See here and here (27/1/2022). The DNR – the German roof organization for nature-conservation NGOs- included the Greek roadless policy in its EU newsletter (10/2/2022), under the title: “Setting a good example: Greece decides on “roadless zone“.  We note that at a national scale, scientific societies (Hellenic Ecological Society and the Hellenic Zoological Society) and 12 NGOs (Hellenic Ornithological Society, Callisto, WWF, Greenpeace, MEDASSET, Mom, etc) have supported the roadless initiative through press releases and asked for a roadless policy expansion.
