The B-Guide project aims to develop and provide innovative digital tools for the identification of butterfly species in Greece, contributing to biodiversity protection and to the implementation of the European Nature Restoration Regulation.
Through the collaboration between WOW Social Cooperative Enterprise and the Biodiversity Conservation Laboratory (BCL) of the University of Ioannina, the project combines GIS technologies, artificial intelligence, and interactive web applications to develop automated local butterfly field guides for every region of Greece.
B-Guide aspires to become an educational, awareness-raising, and citizen-engagement tool supporting butterfly and pollinator monitoring initiatives in Greece.
