his outstanding thesis on <strong data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1117\">the butterflies of the city of Ioannina<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1244\">An impressive <strong data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1161\">51 butterfly species<\/strong> recorded within the city \u2013 almost as many as in the whole of England (59 species)!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1335\">Ioannina\u2019s urban parks are not just green spaces \u2013 they are <strong data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1334\">biodiversity hotspots<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1337\" data-end=\"1446\"><strong data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1368\">Expanding urban greenery<\/strong> is not optional \u2013 it&#8217;s a <strong data-start=\"1394\" data-end=\"1414\">legal obligation<\/strong> ( EU Nature Restoration Law).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1562\">We call on local authorities to create <strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1509\">Butterfly
